About Wim Harthoorn
Wim Harthoorn is a Solutions Architect with the IBM Tivoli brand, based in London, England and is currently engaged on adapting event and performance management solutions that are tried and tested in the telco domain for other businesses such as electrical grids, transport and retail. He is also engaged on integrating endpoint management with traditional network management systems in order to expand their scope in the new world of mobile and cloud. Previous projects included architecting the Event Management sub system to the Intelligent Operations Centre framework. He joined IBM as a result of the Micromuse acquisition in 2006, where he had been designing service assurance solutions for mobile telecommunications companies. Prior to that he was with Ericsson and before that spent 14 years in network management and support roles with the Sun Alliance insurance group in the UK. Wim has been evaluating, designing and implementing network management solutions since the early 1990’s.
